Applications
Fiber optics
High-purity graphite hardware for preform CVD and fiber draw towers.
Optical fiber starts as a glass preform deposited and collapsed at high temperature, then ends its journey at the top of a draw tower. Both processes run on graphite hardware — and because any particle becomes a defect in the fiber, purity and clean machining matter more than anywhere else.
Why graphite here
Purity first
Purified grades keep hydrogen and water out of the fiber's transmission window.
Tight tolerances
Centering and gas-flow parts demand precision machining — we hold tolerances to hundredths of a millimetre.
Long service life
Stable microstructure means predictable wear and longer change intervals.
Typical parts we machine
heaters, heating elements, lining barrels, center tubes, muffle tubes, fixtures
Grades: isostatically pressed fine-grain graphite — selected per duty and confirmed with you before quoting.
