Graphite electrodes and tooling for die-sinking and wire EDM.
In die-sinking EDM, the electrode is the tool — and graphite has become the material of choice for most mold and die shops: it machines faster than metal, erodes predictably and does not burr. We machine electrodes to drawing and supply the surrounding graphite tooling.
Why graphite here
Faster machining
Graphite electrodes mill roughly twice as fast as copper ones.
Low wear
Fine-grain grades hold edge definition over long burns.
Light and stable
Large electrodes stay manageable — and graphite does not warp under heat.
